Description: We finally made it up to Crooked Creek after planning on it most of the winter! What an awesome ride, well worth the anticipation! Thanks Dave, for turning us on to this trail. It has a bit of every thing, forest service road, 4 wheeler track, single track, nice climbs, rocky shale, breath taking side hill, stream crossings, and gorgeous views to top it off. The part that I would consider Advanced Intermediate would be the attempt at continuing on trail 081 from the junction with Scott Canyon. The first part was a steady climb up loose rock and then across rock slide which requires a bit of momentum to climb. Then it goes along a steep side hill with only a hint of a trail. I slowed and miss stepped and ending up falling down hill as you can see in one of the pictures. The other side trail we took on the unmarked canyon ended up to be a maze of rocks and boulders for the last 1/2 mile. Other than that I would call it a solid intermediate trail. I expected to run across more wild life, but only saw a cow and calf moose. I understand they trapped and relocated a Grizzly Bear a couple months ago some where in this area.

Summary: A great ride for an intermediate or above rider. It doesn't get much better than this. The day we went it had rained just before so it wasn't dusty, but not muddy. The view was awesome, the ride was amazing.
