Description:This was a great ride, even though a bit long, 41 miles. The first 8 miles was on a gravel road, Fall Creek Road. I ask a local and he said to take this route to get the best view. We turned off at June Creek, but could have went further on the gravel, but we were anxious to get off the gravel and onto a trail. Even though their were some narrower parts, the trail didn't become a 4 wheeler trail until about 24 miles into the ride. There was some real beautiful scenery, however and a nice view of the Grand Teton.
Fourth of July Ridge was a treat, however a fair a mount of snow. It was all pretty easy to get around. Then we hit a bunch of fallen trees. After going around the first one and coming back to the trail we realized that we made a mistake coming back down to the trail and struggle a bit climbing back up to the ridge. If we had kept to the left their was a very faint trail where others had gone around all the fallen trees. Fourth of July Ridge is about 4 miles long with great views and mostly single track.
We could have went down Rash Canyon but decided to go down the S. Fork of Falls Creek. We ended up finding another large tree across the trail with no way around. However it wasn't too big of a task to lift the bikes over it. Soon after we hit trail 030 which took us back down to Fall Creek Rd.

Summary: I'm anxious to ride more of area. There are lots of trail to ride and it looks like we just scratched the surface. Maps 4 & 5 at the Caribou/Targhee FS site covers this area.
