Description: This was our second day down in Moab and probably our favorite trail. It started off on a gravel jeep trail down into a canyon and then up some rocky faces and into a mix of sand and rock. There was one obstacle about 8 miles into the ride that was a bit of a drop off. It was there that we went on to what is called Flat Pass Trail rather than loop around on Steel Bender. Rather than back track we ended up running down the pavement about 8 miles back to the unloading point.

Summary: Excellent ride for an advanced intermediate rider. I hear it gets pretty hot in the summer, but the weather was perfect in mid April, about 70-75 degrees. The landscape around Moab is amazing for an Idaho boy, however this ride isn't about the scenery as much as some of the others. We were entertained watching the FJ Crusiers make their way over the drop off.
We decided not to double back because so ended up roading about 8 miles on pavement back to the truck.
