Description: Our family and I had the opportunity to hang out in Coos Bay, OR for a few days. While we were there we decided to check out the Oceano Dunes to the north. I've noticed the Polaris Razor 4x4, 4 seater and want to try it out. This seemed like the perfect location to try one. My two daughters and a friend of theirs were game. It was the middle of the week so there weren't too many riders. We rented the Razor from Steve's ATV Rentals and they were great to work with. Helmets were included, goggles were $3 a piece.
This was my first time on the dunes so I took it pretty easy, especially with three passengers. It was more of a scouting mission. We stayed on the south end because of time constraints as it was a two hour rental. They only had one 4 place Razor and had just gotten it a week and a half prior. They limit to two hour rentals so they can rent it twice a day. The Razor is two large to get on the narrower ATV trails so we stayed in the wide open spaces for the most part. We ran down and back on Horsefall and then down Bull Run, out to the ocean and back up Bull run which used up our time. It is about 5 miles down to the end and we didn't take a lot of time to stop and sight see. The 800cc proved to be very adequate pulling the four of us up some nice dunes. The girls agreed that it was the highlight of our vacation.

Summary: Sand Dunes are a great place for UTVs. I would have like to take a full day to really check the dunes out and check out the capacity of the Razor. It looked like a lot of fun on a ATV as well. If you are out on the Southern Oregon coast, I'd highly recommend it!
