I got this chair about 25 years ago from an abandoned house on my brother's farm. I was told at the time that it had belonged to my grandmother. It is a very comfortable chair, but needed some work. The joints were loose and there was a lot of grime on the arms. (Probably partly just the glaze mixed with dirt.) Over Thanksgiving I decided to take a shot at restoring it. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture before dismantleing it. Here is the process:
