Description:
Excellent ride close to Pocatello. Much of it is easy riding with a small amount of challenge thrown in. It is 4-wheeler trail except for Bell Marsh, upper Mormon Canyon and Windago Trails. East Mink Creek Trail has a few areas with ruts, rocks and roots, but not bad. Bell Marsh has a fairly steep decline on shale. You get to cross Bell Marsh Creek about 10 times, nice rocky bottom on the creek, with as much as 16" of water, but most of it is very shallow. The trail connecting Bell Marsh and Good Enough Campground is an easy 4 wheeler trail. Mormon Canyon has some fairly rocky riding with a bit of a climb. There was a tree across the trail towards the top. We went below it, but struggled with the loose dirt getting back up on the trail. Afterwards we could see signs where bikes had went above it, which would be better. There was a drift of snow across the top of Mormon Canyon Trail, but there is a trail to get around it. A-Frame is a fairly rocky and rutted 4 wheeler trail. Box Canyon is a 4 wheeler trail with some rocks and roots. Windago Trail is a nice single track that is quite smooth and used a lot by bicyclists. If you lay this map over Lead Draw-Crestline and East Fork Mink Creek you will get an idea of how many trails there are around Scout Mountain.
